Introduction to Tecmo Heroes

Tecmo Heroes is a website dedicated to the archiving of our records on the hands down greateset sports game of all time - Tecmo Super Bowl. On the left sidebar is a collection of records organized by how you can view them in the League Leaders screen of Tecmo. The records listed here will be be in the following format:

TYPE: ###, PLAYER (TEAM, USER, SEASON #)

Type = The type of record, season or game.
### = The record number.
Player = The name of the player as it appears in Tecmo Super Bowl.
Team = The team this player was used on.
User = The initials of the user that accomplished this record.
Season # = Refers to the season number (when the record was accomplished).

The Rules

RULES
Our seasons use a specific set of rules to avoid super inflation of stats.
  • All records use "Season" mode. The AI is too easy in pre-season mode.
  • WRs or TE may not be placed in RB slots unless all other players available players are injured or if there is no running play for that slot.
  • "Lurking" is not permitted. Lurking is using the NT to immediately dive when the play starts in order to tackle the quarterback before he can drop back in the pocket.
  • Although stats may be recorded for solo seasons, only multiplayer season records and displayed.

MANUALLY COUNTING RECORDS
Records marked with an asterick have exceeded the automated record system and have been manualled counted after that limit was reached. The following are confirmed limits:
  • 63 Passing TDs
  • 63 Rushing TDs
  • 255 Rushing Attempts
  • 4095 Recieving Yards
